I’m getting back into the habit of taking pictures again. I don’t have access to a darkroom, or any neg scanning equipment, so I am sticking to digital at the moment. Still, it’s good to get out there again looking at the world through a viewfinder.

It was a bit tricky at first, hobbling along with my stick and taking pictures, but I soon got into the hang of it. I’ve taken loads of pictures over the last year, but I haven’t done any proper photo-exploration since before my accident.

I was a bit restricted to where I could go, because I had to park quite close to where I wanted to shoot. The place I really wanted to go – right under the south end of the flyover where several roads converge – is inaccessible, except by foot over about a mile. Which is too much for me at the minute.

Still, there is a great wildlife park under the flyover, accessed by a boardwalk, which made things a lot easier. There were about a million butterflies and bugs though…
